Life’s short, try not to waste it

by

As I start this blog, I invite you to get some coffee and join me for conversation and friendship. Because it is my blog, I may do most of the talking, but you’re welcome to share.

I do have a few rules though.

  • You can disagree but you can’t be disagreeable here, and I get to decide when you’re disagreeable and if you get to come back or not.

  • You don’t have to like everybody who stops by, including me, but you don’t get to call anybody names.

  • You’re expected to be a grown up with some manners and not get offended by opinions and comments you just don’t like. If what you see here offends you, go somewhere else and start your own blog with your own rules.

  • And if I’m factually wrong, for crying out loud let me know. But respectfully please.

And now let’s get started.

I have been around a long time, and I have done most of what I hoped to do during my life. I have outlived people who told me “Don’t do that it’s too dangerous…”, or “Don’t go there because those people aren’t like us…” to cite a few. And I have met people everywhere who were friendly and willing to share their lives.

So, that being the case, I frequently tell young people I meet, “Don’t let yourself get to be old saying ‘I just wish I had…’ ” Life is marvelous, and a greater gift than you can adequately express in words — try not to waste it.
